Heavy Metal Detox

Description

Exposure to toxic heavy metals is an evergrowing problem in today’s world and believed to be a contributing factor, if not a root cause, of symptoms like low energy, mood disturbances and cognitive changes.

Unfortunately heavy metals are everywhere we look. They are in our water, food, household products, and even the air we breathe.

High levels of heavy metal in the body can result in damaged or reduced mental and central nervous function, plus damage to the vital organs — such as the liver, heart, endocrine glands and kidneys.

Children unfortunately are a high-risk group to heavy metals toxicity, due to increased susceptibility of their underdeveloped organ systems. Heavy metal toxicity in children has been associated with intellectual disability, neurocognitive, behavioral, and respiratory disorders, cancer, and cardiovascular diseases.

Some of the most common warning signs of heavy metal toxicity include:

Chronic fatigue

• Autoimmune diseases, including

• Lyme disease

• Poor recovery from exercise and weakness

• Skin irritation

• Neurological disorders

• Brain fog, trouble concentrating, difficulty learning and poor memory

• Depression, manic depression and/or anxiety

• Dementia

• Insomnia

• Digestive issues, such as irritable bowel syndrome

• Chronic aches and pains

Thankfully there is a list of superfoods like cilantro and parsley which can assist with heavy metal detoxification.

Our Heavy Metal Detox contains cilantro as well as several other herbs known for powerful chelation.

Benefits of heavy metal detox include:

Improvements in mental performance

• Reduced free radical damage

• Energy levels are boosted

•  Improved skin health

• Enhanced immunity

• Better digestive function

Some foods to limit or avoid during your heavy metal detox diet include:

• certian baby formulas and food

• rice (brown rice, specifically) because it often contains arsenic

• some fish, such as larger and long-living fish, as they tend to contain more mercury

• dark chocolate

• alcohol

• nonorganic foods

• Avoid cookware that could be contaminated with metals such as lead

Binder

If your child experiences mild stomach pain or digestive issues, give a binder in the form of the activated charcoal. You can find charcoal in gummy form here.
